Bayne Looks to Use Momentum of Daytona to Race into Chase

CONCORD, N.C. (July 6, 2016) – Fresh off of his best finish of the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) season, Trevor Bayne, driver of the No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Fusion, looks to build off of his strong third-place finish at Daytona International Speedway and race his way into the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

“Surviving Daytona and coming away with a top-five finish was huge for this AdvoCare team,” said Bayne. “We were really able to make up some points on the guys in front of us in the standings and I really feel like we can make a strong push to make it into the Chase after Richmond.”

Bayne, who has two top-five finishes and four top-10 finishes thus far in 2016, currently ranks 17th in the championship standings and trails the 16th and final position in the Chase cutoff by six points.

“I feel like we have some good tracks coming up,” added Bayne. “We had a good run at Kentucky last season and we finished in the top five at Bristol in the spring so I think we have a really good shot with this AdvoCare Ford.”

The NSCS returns to action this weekend at Kentucky Speedway and can be seen live on NBCSN, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
