Biffle has finished on the lead lap in 11 of his 12 starts at the road course.  He ran out of fuel in his first career start at Sonoma.

One Year Ago at Sonoma

Greg Biffle continued his streak of top-10 finishes at Sonoma by showcasing his road-racing skills and crossing the finish line ninth.  Biffle started the 110-lap event 19th and had all intentions of making the race on just two pit stops, until multiple cautions toward the end of the race foiled the team’s strategy.

In the Points

Biffle is currently 20th in the point standings, 49 points out of 16th.

Biffle on Sonoma:

“Sonoma is a unique race track with the elevation changes, turns; all those things make it a fun place to race. The keys to Sonoma are staying on the race track, gas mileage, taking care of the brakes and transmission.  If you can do all those things then you can come out of there with a good run and possibly a win, I’m looking forward to it.”

Puccia on Sonoma:

“Road course racing has always been a strong suit for the No. 16 team.  We ran in the top five in both races last year and had top-10 finishes at each.  Sonoma is a good opportunity to take a break from ovals and see where we are with our road course program.”
