Wallace at Daytona International Speedway
Bubba Wallace, a new addition to the Roush Fenway Racing stable of drivers, will make his second start at Daytona International Speedway (DIS) in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. Wallace’s first start at the 2.5-mile track came in the July 2014 event, where the young driver started ninth and finished seventh.
Restrictor Place Racing
Wallace also has one career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Talladega Superspeedway, where he qualified third and ran strong, before being collected in an accident. In the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS), Wallace has two starts at DIS, with a best finish of 12th and two starts at Talladega Superspeedway with a best finish of ninth.
On the Car
The No. 6 Mustang carries the Ford EcoBoost colors this weekend in Daytona. Ford EcoBoost technology combines smaller overall size with turbocharging, direct injection and variable valve timing to bring customers outstanding performance and fuel economy.
Recapping the 2014 Season
After running his second full NCWTS season in 2014, Wallace closed out the year third in the final point standings with four victories, two poles, nine top-fives, 14 top-10s and 623 laps led.
Bubba Wallace on racing at Daytona International Speedway:
“It’s a new year and a fresh start, and I am excited to get down to Daytona! I’m anxious to get our Ford Mustang on the track and show the competition how much work has been done in the off season. This is a big year for me coming up. I am ready for the challenges. I have to survive and be smart and be there at the end.”
