ADVANCE NOTES

Sadler at Atlanta Motor Speedway

Elliott Sadler will make his 10th NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS) this Saturday afternoon. In Sadler’s previous nine starts, he recorded one top-five and five top-10 finishes at AMS.

In the past 10 XFINITY races on a 1.5 mile oval track, Sadler ranks third of the active XFINITY drivers with two top-five and eight top-10 finishes.

The veteran driver also has 24 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at AMS with three top-ten finishes.

Last Week’s Race

Last week Sadler started the 2015 NXS season off at Daytona International Speedway. Sadler qualified 11th and held his ground in the top-10 for most of the afternoon. With eight laps remaining, Sadler was clipped in the rear in a multi-car wreck going into turn one. After temporary repairs back in the garage, Sadler came back out on the track and finished 19th

This Race Last Year

Last year, Sadler started the Atlanta race in the fifth position and maintained his position in the top-five for the majority of the race. Experiencing handling issues towards the closing laps, Sadler slowly shuffled back in the pack and finished in the 10th position.

Full Sponsor for Sadler

Elliott Sadler made the announcement last season at Texas Motor Speedway, that he would be making the move in 2015 to Roush Fenway Racing. The announcement was also made that OneMain Financial would be the full time sponsor for Sadler’s 2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series season. OneMain Financial has been a partial sponsor for Sadler in the past, but this year will mark the first time OneMain Financial will be the full time sponsor for Sadler.

#ElliottsHead

In Daytona, Sadler hid a large cardboard head of himself (#ElliottsHead) in the fan zone midway. Sadler gave hints on Saturday morning through his Twitter and Facebook accounts on where to find the #ElliottsHead. One lucky fan found #ElliottsHead and was rewarded with had two race tickets. Sadler will continue to hide more of these #ElliottsHead’s at various racetracks throughout the season. Tune in to Sadler’s tweets and Facebook posts for more hints to win prizes.

QUOTE WORTHY

Sadler on Racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway:

“I’ve always enjoyed racing at Atlanta because it’s an older track, which results in a lot of slipping and sliding. Compared to the past few years of racing in the warm Georgia summer months, it will be interesting to see how the track conditions fair, since the weather will be a lot colder this year. As a team, we’re looking forward to a strong rebound this weekend and we plan on making up points this Saturday afternoon in the driver championship point standings.”
