Biffle Drives No. 16 Safety-Kleen Ford Fusion to a 17th-place Finish at Texas

FORT WORTH, T.X. (April 11, 2015) – Greg Biffle drove his No. 16 Safety-Kleen Ford Fusion to a 17th– place finish Saturday night under the lights at Texas Motor Speedway.  Biffle started 19th and searched for grip over the 334-lap race.  In his search, Biffle went a lap down to the field twice but was the “lucky dog” recipient towards the end of the race and went on from there to finish 17th.

Biffle started the race 19th and moved up a few positions before reporting back to his team that he needed grip.  The team tried a wedge adjustment on their first opportunity to pit while Biffle used his in-car track bar adjustments to help with handling.

The lack of grip continued to plague Biffle, costing him a lap to the leaders just under 100 laps into the race.  Over the next pit stops Biffle was serviced with wedge and air pressure adjustments in a continued effort to improve handling.  A debris caution came out on lap 172 and Biffle remained on the track to take the “wave around” and get back on the lead lap.

The search for grip continued and once again caused Biffle to lose a lap to the leaders.  This time around Biffle was in position to be the “lucky dog” when a caution came out, putting him back on the lead lap.  Biffle remained on the lead lap the rest of the race and made gains in his search for grip on the track.  Biffle worked his way up to 17th by the time the checkered flag fell at Texas Motor Speedway.
