Biffle Rolls On To Charlotte

“The Coke 600 is the longest race of the season and gives us an opportunity to work on our car for a long period of time.  Charlotte is one of the more temperature sensitive tracks that we race on.  Starting in the day and going into evening is a huge factor and why this race is so challenging.  Last weekend we had a fast car and were able to race our way into the All-Star race, so I’ve got added confidence going into the Coke 600.”

American Salute

As part of NASCAR’s “600 Miles of Remembrance,” SPC Joel A. Taylor’s name will be featured across the windshield of Biffle’s No. 16 Ford this weekend.  Taylor died on June 25 in Mosul, Iraq, of wounds sustained when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device on June 24.

Taylor, from Pinetown NC, was a 2006 graduate of Northside High School. He was in the JROTC program and on the Drill Team, receiving the Recruiters Exceptional Leadership award. He was a member of the Northside Cross Country and Track teams and enjoyed playing soccer.

Taylor joined the Army on June 22, 2006, where he was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment at Fort Hood, Texas.
