ADVANCE NOTES

Buescher at Charlotte Motor Speedway

On Friday night, Roush Fenway Racing’s Chris Buescher will make his fifth start at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the NASCAR XFINITY Series.  In his four previous starts, the Prosper, Texas native has two top-10s.  His best finish is sixth, which came in this race last season.

On the Car

The No. 60 Ford Mustang carries the Zest colors this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.  Zest has been keeping families Zestfully Clean for over half a century.  Zest falls under the Brynwood Partners umbrella, along with Bit-O-Honey, which has appeared on Buescher’s car multiple times this season.

Recapping Dover International Speedway

Buescher earned his 18th top-10 finish of the season in Saturday afternoon’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Dover International Speedway.  After winning at the Monster Mile earlier this season, Buescher crossed the finish line in eighth in his No. 60 Lilly Diabetes Mustang.

QUOTE WORTHY

Chris Buescher on racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway:

“Charlotte will be good for us.  We had some good speed there in the early parts of the race last time around.  We also have some good notes to build off of from our teammates to help improve our program on the 60 side.  It’s been somewhere that we’ve been able to run decent, we just have to close it.  I just have to figure out how to make that happen at Charlotte.  Our team has worked hard on our Zest Ford, so I’m confident that we will have a strong run this weekend.”
