Sadler Ready to #Dash4Cash Friday Night at Bristol

Bristol is a special place for Sadler. In 2001, Sadler won his first career NASCR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race. To this day, Sadler still holds the record for winning the race from the deepest qualifying position. Besides winning at BMS in 2001, the veteran driver also has one pole award, three top-five and four top-10 finishes in his previous 25 NSCS starts.

Previous NASCAR XFINITY Series Race

Sadler finished sixth this past Saturday afternoon in the NXS race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Sadler made it to the final round of qualifying Saturday morning and started the race from the 10th position. With an early caution, Sadler was able to come down pit road under yellow and made a quick stop for fuel only. A few laps later, the yellow came out again and the leaders decided to come down pit road. With Sadler pitting on the first caution, the driver of the No. 1 OneMain Financial Ford stayed out and moved up to front, restarting as the leader on Lap 16. With older tires, Sadler drifted back a few positions, but maintained his top-10 position for the entire race. In the closing laps, Sadler gained ground on the restarts and crossed the finish line in the sixth position.

2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series Driver Point Standings

Following the NXS race at Mid-Ohio, Sadler remains in fifth-place, in the NXS Driver Point Standings. After 21 races, Sadler is now 60 points behind the leader, but only nine points out of fourth-place.

QUOTE WORTHY

“This Friday we’ll race under the lights at one of my favorite tracks, Bristol Motor Speedway. I’ve won a few races here in the past and I’d love to drive my No. 1 OneMain Financial Ford Mustang up the ramp to Victory Lane again. My crew has done a great job over the past few weeks and it’s shown with our four top-10 finishes in a row. Hopefully, we can keep the ball rolling and continue to boost our stats leading into the final 12 races of the season.”
