ADVANCE NOTES

Sadler at Daytona International Speedway

Elliott Sadler will make his 12th NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at Daytona International Speedway this weekend. In Sadler’s previous 11 starts, he recorded three top-five and five top-ten finishes. He also won the pole award in 1997.

The veteran driver also has 25 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at Daytona with four top-five and nine top-ten finishes.

Sadler recorded one top-five and one top-ten finish in his two Camping World Truck Series races at Daytona International Speedway.

This Race Last Year

In February 2014, Sadler qualified in the fifth position. During the race, Sadler worked his way up to second, but in the closing laps of the race, his car was shuffled back in the group. Stuck in the draft line, Sadler was unable make a pass in the final lap and crossed the finish line in the fifth position.

Full Sponsor for Sadler

Elliott Sadler made the announcement last season at Texas Motor Speedway, that he would be making the move in 2015 to Roush Fenway Racing. The announcement was also made that OneMain Financial would be the full time sponsor for Sadler’s 2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series season. OneMain Financial has been a partial sponsor for Sadler in the past, but this year will mark the first time OneMain Financial will be the full time sponsor for Sadler.

Where You Can Find Sadler at Daytona

Away from the track, Sadler will be making an appearance at the Ford Display on Saturday morning from 9:45am – 10:00am. The Ford Display is located in the Fan Zone outside turn four.

QUOTE WORTHY

Sadler on Racing at Daytona International Speedway:

“It’s an indescribable feeling we have as drivers when we travel each year to Daytona and start a fresh season with new hopes and dreams. Daytona gives us the feeling that this year is our year. I know personally, that I can’t wait to jump into my new ride with Roush Fenway Racing in my No. 1 OneMain Financial Ford Mustang. I’m excited to start the new season off on the right track with my new crew chief Phil Gould and my now full time sponsor, OneMain Financial. OneMain Financial has been such a great sponsor for me and a true loyal sponsor in NASCAR for the past 12 years. I’m so ready to get behind the wheel on Saturday afternoon and start off the 2015 season with a great finish.”
